Some light relief
Published by John May 3rd, 2006 in Operating SystemsWitty series of short movies explaining various reasons for buying an Apple Mac. Not recommended for Windows users unless they’ve been retrofitted with a sense of humour. The movies are clearly inspired by Umberto Eco’s celebrated essay arguing that the PC was a Protestant machine whereas the Mac was undoubtedly a Catholic one.

It’s not like I support MS, btw, just, I don’t like Macs. I try to run Windows as MS-free as possible (getting BBlean soon). I like the bit of Linux I’ve tried. Haven’t tested BSD or anything else. But Macs… not my thing.
thank you for your work
Very Very nice information here… Thanks
Re the Umberto Eco argument that a PC is a Protestant machine whereas the Mac is undoubtedly a Catholic one, my own take years ago was, and still is, that Windows is more like a plate of spaghetti, while the Macintosh OS is more like lasagne. Why? Work it out for yourself.
